Food isn’t a trend, it’s how we grew up. Long before words like seasonal, sustainable, or organic were ever used, life for generations revolved around the farm, the kitchen, and the people who passed through them.
Today, we invite you into that same rhythm of life. You’ll cook with ingredients grown just outside the door, learn skills and share recipes passed down through the decades. You’ll experience the warmth, humour, and the reality of a working family farm, dogs barking, kettles boiling, and all. This is a place to slow down, get hands-on, and reconnect with food, farming, and each other.
From early mornings in the yard to busy kitchens filled with conversation, learning came naturally through doing, watching, and sharing.
Our Story
Meet Fiona & Michael
A cookery school built on passion, heritage,
and a love of sharing food.
Fiona’s award-winning cookery school began in 2012, inspired by a lifelong love of food and a deep connection to the land. Growing up on the land and a busy farmhouse kitchens, food was never about trends or labels, it was simply how life was lived. Alongside her husband Michael, the fifth generation to farm at Cloughan, Fiona has created a place where visitors can experience the true rhythm of rural Ireland. From the sounds of the yard and the kitchen to the changing seasons of the farm, Cloughan is a living, working home shaped by generations before them.
Together, they welcome you not just as guests, but as part of the Cloughan family, invited to slow down, get hands-on, and share in a way of life they are proud to pass on.
